JAMIE DREAMS

Jamie >

"I had a nuts dream last night! From what I remember I arrived home to find a party going on in my house, people outside and everything. I hung out there for a bit and went upstairs to find the hallway was full of tiny, vicious birds and massive butterflies and the little birds seemed to be attacking the butterflies. I kept on shouting that the birds were the same as the ones in Berlin but smaller and calling them bastards. I spent a little while trying to save the butterflies and then went upstairs to get a bucket so I could clean the bird poo off the floor.
When I got upstairs there was another party going on and Paul McCartney was there. The room was quite hippy but oddly (and I didn’t consider this at the time) covered in various animal furs, something m
Macca appeared not to mind-quite at odds with his public image! I sat next to him and started chatting about songs he had written and got onto the subject of Joni Mitchell. I decided I wanted to play him A Case Of You, which I have recently learned. I realised that McCartney seemed to have every stringed instrument imaginable at his disposable, except a guitar. I expressed mild disbelief at his need for that many mandolins. After me hassling him for ages he found one which was apparently some very precious African relic. The guitar had a (roughly) 20 foot appendage, at the end of which was perched a real horses head, spray painted silver badly. As you can imagine, the laws of physics contrived to make the guitar so heavy it was hard to pick up, let alone play. It’s a bit blurry for a bit then but McCartney and I parted company along the way, he was nice though.
The next thing I remember is checking my emails and there being one from McCartney in which he ranted about how much he hated Robert Mugabe! I found it hilarious because I misread the subject and initially thought he was talking about Morrissey! There was another email from him but I can’t remember what it said."
